ISO's brand and reputation are synonymous with quality, confidence, trust, safety, and other positive values.
This is why the ISO organization is vigilant about protecting our trademarks. Unauthorized use of ISO trademarks can mislead, create false impressions, or cause confusion, potentially harming our reputation.
To safeguard our brand, the ISO organization and its members worldwide will take appropriate legal action if we believe that the misuse of ISO trademarks poses a risk. This has included initiating national trademark actions, notice and takedown claims (such as under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act), and domain name abuse claims through the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy with the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center.
